Animation

I had a go at roughly animating the TV set:

Garden Images

I took a few pictures of my Garden and tools at home, here are a few.

Quite like the idea of concrete poetry.... going to make this image into a short animation where the words grow up into this tree... maybe after the viewer clicks on a watering can?

Playing around

One idea we thought about was to encourage gardening on a small scale, such as in window boxes or in old disused objects. Students generally don't have access to a traditional gardens, so why not convert an old tv into a plant pot?

Research

I came across this nice example of typography. The hand rendered floral pattern within the text works really well and is something we can explore.

Gardening??

...that's the topic we've decided to cover for this project. We like the idea of the ISTD competition brief and have begun to explore different ideas within the subject areas. After researching we've found it to be much more complicated then we first thought. We need to narrow 'gardening' down and concentrate on an area within it. "10 ways to make gardening interesting", is one of our better ideas, as we're aiming our website(?) at teenagers, and it's well known that gardening usually associated with older adults.

I came across this website where you can create your own garden and watch it grow.

Finally!!! Success, after many failed attempts I have managed to upload this simple video simulating a potential roll-over button
.

Concrete Poetry Shovel

This is a lil concrete poetry of a shovel. Just a quick experiment so see how it cold work with our gardening topic.

A quick watering can animation idea

Messing around this morning I did this very basic animation idea which could be used somewhere in our interactive website.

Black Thumbs Giant brain storm...
So many ideas... so little time.

Two more images from our huge brainstorm

Did the Bonington shop run out of A4?!

The black thumbs team grouped together today in the studio to do the brainstorm/speed dating task.

This proved to be very useful as we now seem to have a very clear idea for the content of our site.

Next we are going to individually sketch potential visual styles before meeting tomorrow after our HTML workshop.
